A glimpse of my Practice

The Celtic tradition, steeped in ancient wisdom and spiritual connection to nature, has long recognized the need to maintain harmony within the home. A key aspect of this practice is the art of necromancy and spiritual house cleansing, which aims to create a peaceful, ghost-free environment. This cleansing ritual is not just about warding off negative energies or unwanted earthbound spirits but also about inviting in positive forces that bring protection, health, and prosperity.

The Home's Significance in Celtic Belief

For the Celts, the home was not merely a physical space but a sacred one, a sanctuary where family and spiritual life intertwined. It was believed that the energies within a home could affect its inhabitants’ well-being. Therefore, maintaining a harmonious environment was crucial. People believed that negative energies from past events, spirits, or emotional residue disrupted this harmony, causing unrest, illness, or misfortune.

The cleansing ritual

Before beginning your house cleansing, it is essential to set a clear intention. The purpose might be to cleanse your home of negative energies, to protect it from future harm, or to invite in blessings. Keep this intention firmly in mind throughout the house cleansing ritual.

The Celts had a deep connection with the elements—earth, air, fire, and water. Each element plays a crucial role in the cleansing process.

For instance:

    • Earth: Salt or earth from a sacred place might be sprinkled around the perimeter of the home for grounding and protection.

    • Air: The use of incense or herbs, like sage or juniper, is common to purify the air and carry away unwanted energies.

    • Fire: Lighting candles or a hearth fire serves to transform and burn away negativity while also invoking the presence of the divine.

    • Water: Holy water, or water from a sacred spring, can be sprinkled in each room to bless and purify.
In Celtic tradition, circles are powerful symbols of protection. The ritual often involves walking the perimeter of the home or each room in a clockwise direction, creating a symbolic circle of protection. This might be done while chanting a protective prayer or incantation, invoking the blessings of Celtic deities, ancestors, or nature spirits.
Symbols such as the Celtic cross, triquetra, or other sacred designs might be placed around the home for ongoing protection. Additionally, charms like iron nails (believed to ward off evil) or sprigs of rowan (a tree sacred to the Celts) could be hung over doorways or windows.

Once the cleansing is complete, it is important to seal the home with a blessing. This could involve anointing the doors and windows with oil or reciting a final prayer to ensure that the protective energies remain.

After the House Cleansing

Following my ritual, it’s a traditional time to celebrate the renewed harmony of your home with a small feast or offering, giving thanks to the spirits and forces that have aided in the cleansing. This might also be a time to place new protective charms or tokens around your home, such as a carved stone or a piece of jewelry imbued with personal significance.

In the end, the Celtic practice of spiritual house cleansing is a beautiful blend of ancient wisdom, nature reverence, and spiritual protection. It provides a powerful method for upholding a ghost-free, harmonious home, allowing positive energies to freely flow and honoring the sacredness of the space. Whether one is a believer or not, or simply drawn to these ancient practices, rituals can bring a profound sense of peace and connection to the spiritual realm.

Dakshina “Giving Back”

DONATIONS

Dakshina is an ancient tradition of those who practice Spiritual Arts, and it is a display of generosity a private contribution to the financial support of the spiritual consultant and their teachings. When we experience a pure inner impulse caused by a higher purpose to help others, to express our unconditional gratefulness, it is called Dakshina. We are being guided by our feelings, and, in this case, the amount we give is irrelevant as long as we gain our own true Self.
